TODD SIEGEL
Founder & Principal
Over the past 25 years, Todd has developed a broad-based skill set as an entrepreneur, operational executive, CPA, attorney, and acquisitions professional, which have made him uniquely qualified to acquire, lead and grow an existing business. Todd will join the acquired company's management team and lead the day to day operations.
Todd began his career in public accounting. He was then recruited to join Wells Fargo’s highly regarded MBA training program in San Francisco, where he refined his financial modeling, underwriting and M&A skills and worked with middle-market companies to complete several hundred million dollars in acquisitions.
In the wake of those successes, Todd was asked to take on a leadership role in Hyatt Hotels’ acquisition group, where he managed a team of analysts and was responsible for the sourcing, business development, negotiation, evaluation, due diligence, and structuring of more than one billion dollars of acquisition and development projects on behalf of the Pritzker family. Subsequently he served as Vice President of Acquisitions for two Florida-based firms, where he oversaw acquisition and disposition activities, and launched a successful multi-million dollar tax-lien fund that generated double-digit risk adjusted returns for its investors.
In 2005, Todd started and bootstrapped his first two companies. Relying on the CEO mentoring and leadership, scaling, and operational management skills he acquired as a member of the Entrepreneur Organization’s Accelerator Program, he built a business that was profitable for seven straight years and that serviced more than 17,000 clients representing more than $2 billion in transaction value. Todd developed a growth mindset and became an expert at identifying key business drivers and high impact bottom-line generators through strategic partnerships, adding new products and services, and developing proprietary technologies that automated repetitive workflows. He also gained an in-depth understanding of the importance of creating core values and a mission and vision that keeps an organization accountable and aligned, with clarity of purpose.
Piggybacking on the success of his first venture, Todd successfully raised an initial round of funding for a start-up in partnership with a local technology-driven private equity firm and the Miami Innovation Fund. As CEO, he once again built a team and organization from the ground up, creating high-performance systems and infrastructure that significantly reduced labor and client-acquisition costs, and formulating a branding and marketing strategy for the business that secured widespread media attention for the company from CNBC and numerous publications.
Most recently, Todd has been working in an advisory capacity, providing legal and strategic counsel to one of the country’s largest financial companies in conjunction with its formation, creation and launch of a new and highly innovative national business unit. In his role he has also been instrumental in the identification of strategic acquisitions.
Todd earned a BS in accounting from Indiana University Kelly School of Business, a JD from Cleveland-Marshall School of Law, and has continued his lifelong commitment to learning at the MIT Sloan School of Management Executive Education Program. Originally from the Midwest, Todd is an avid tennis player, golfer and youth basketball coach, and currently lives with his family in Boynton Beach, Florida.
